I know what you are going through. On August 24th we had to put down our beloved Golden Retriever. It was the hardest thing we ever had to do. I still miss him so much & cry every day for his loss.
The house is so empty after 10 years of him being where ever we were. He didn't like to be alone. I will never forget him.
before that we had a Cairn Tererrier for 11 years so I have had a dog following me around (even in the bathroom) for 21 years. People say it will get easier as time passes but my Golden showed me what a great dog they are & the love I felt for him will never die.
People cannot understand how I can grieve so hard for a dog but he was closer then most of my family to me.
I hope we both will find peace some day.
