i had my cat 17 years he took a stroke at 16 but recovered to go on and live another year when his kidneys failed we had to have him put to sleep i was very upset but when i took his mother in as a stray she was pregnant and ill with parvo virus she died when the kittens were thre weeks old and i kept one of her kittens so thats how i got my cat so i think your cat and mine were lucky to have someone to love them and although you miss him it will ease in time as it did with me i hope you feel better soon also i lost my dog 2 weeks ago and am missing her so much but she was 12 and had a good life our pets had a lot more than the stray cat i found
