Subject: "Kit" - Our beloved cat died today.

"Kit" our darling tortoiseshell cat died at 11.30 this morning, and here I sit at 2 am the next morning, smashed to bits, tears flowing, missing her like anything. I could write a book about our lives together these past 14 or so years. She was such a gentle and affectionate old girl and loved nothing better than to rub heads, sit on my lap in the evenings, and sit amongst the marigolds in the deck planters on a sunny day and watch the world go by. Today has been a sad, sad day, and the evening so lonely without her warmth on my lap. I know this will be read by friends and folk who know how I feel over her loss. She is mercifully at peace now, renal failure and what else the cause of her departure - all systems just shut down over the past three days. "Kit", if you are copying this, just make sure that you come and get me when I join you in that happy place I told you about. I'll be watching out for you sweetheart.
