Daryl,

I understand completely what you are going through, last Thursday after 12 wonderful years together we had to let our Moe go to Rainbow Bridge. It was the most devastating thing I have ever been through but I was strong and held his paw and petted him and told him I loved him while he went to sleep.

He also had kidney failure, his was caused by urinary stones that kept reocurring. We had done all that we could and knew we had to let him go. Even the vet said it was hard for him because even though he knew Moe had to be in pain he never let on, he was playing with his toys when he walked in the room with the shots. I only hope that he knows I'd have given him my own kidney if I could have, I did what I had to so he wouldn't suffer any pain.

I'll never get over it and hope that time will heal this hole in my heart. Moe was a mixed breed german shepard & beagle. He even went to work with me and everyone is as shattered as I am. I made him a grave blanket today and it made me feel alittle better.

I hope that we can all feel better soon, the holidays are making it that much harder, you see everyone bought Moe gifts because he got so excited and could open them himself they thought that was the greatest thing they'd ever seen a dog do. He never bothered the things under the tree until you gave him a gift to open and yet he always seemed to know which ones were his.

I'm sorry for your loss and I hope that good memories will lessen the hurt for us both.
