I just read your storie. Thank you for sharing. I lost my dog on Monday and am heart broken. He was my dear sweet friend of 13 years and now he is gone and a big piecec of my heart has gone with him. I did not have to face the ordeal of putting him down (although had he lived it would not have been too far off) but I did elect to have surgery for him. I knew that it was risky, but he had a big tumor that needed to be removed. I regret my decision, but know it was best. I could have had another week or two with him, but I suppose we just beat ourselves up thinking that kind of stuff. I am glad to know that other people feel so much for their pets. They are the most loving creatures and bring so much to us. thank you for sharing and thank you for caring for your Rex.
