Please know we understand your grief at this time as we lost our 13 year old cocker spaniel on May 30th and the tears are still coming. I'm glad you found this website as we went to it every night after our loss and it helped to read that others are sharing the same pain and grief that we are. Pets give us unconditional love and it is really tough when they leave us. We, too, know that our little guy is running and playing again like he used to before he got sick and he know we will all be together again in the future. I know the emptiness and lonliness you are feeling as when you love a pet like we all do your lives revolve around them. It's ironic what you said about cooking as our little guy was always right at my feet and now I feel like I just don't want to cook anymore - too many reminders of what happened while he was here. Just know that alot of people out there understand what you are going through and it is really tough to get through each day. Hopefully time will help and also the fact that we know someday we will be able to pat their little heads again and tell them how much we loved them and appreciated their being a part of our lives. We will be thinking of you.
