I am sorry for the loss of your cat Mr. Jones. Just recently I had to have my beloved cat Tigger put to sleep. I had taken her into get spayed and the vet found she had an problem with her kidneys that she was born with. I wouldn't have known until I took her in for her spay surgery. She just could not handle the anastetic. So the vet did try antibiotics but nothing made her better. She was neither eating nor drinking. So a week ago I made the decision to put my beloved cat to sleep. I know she was suffering and I did not want her to suffer anymore. I stayed with her until the end. Anyways you have my sympathies!
