Subject: Nice to see some memories

It's interesting to see how many people have found us and are willing to share a memory, many of them about getting the strap in school. Oh, have I memories of that too!

One memory of the old days though is of the corner drug store with the big long soda fountain along the side where I'd often go after school to drink a cherry coke and often Mr. Golden, the druggist, would ask me to make a delivery for him, which I would do on my bicycle. Sometimes these were prescriptions phoned in by a doctor, sometimes people would phone and ask for something to be delivered, and sometimes people would come into the store, shop, and then leave purchases to be sent out later. Most Saturdays I'd go by five, six times during the day to see if there was a delivery. When I was older I had an after school and weekend job helping on the counter, doing deliveries, and working in the stock room.
