There are so many wonderful ladies that make wonderful queens that couldn't even make the cut in the big three. To have the different divisions at different times for a pageant would be so expensive for a director so put them all together and have a high end pageant for all. NAM is a great example of how to do this (I realize they're Miss not Mrs. but I think the formula could still work.) Multiple divisions and each division has their own show. However there's only an hour's time between each show. More economical for the directors because they're renting the venue for the one weekend but having multiple shows. The main girl is crowned, everyone celebrates, clears the theater. The tickets are fairly cheap and they pack the auditorium full every time. It takes a lot more organization for the director but I think could be worth it. (NT) More food for thought? 03/05/14 Wed

but NAM is just another ballroom pageant. they have the numbers to split up shows. its not economical for pageants to split up divisions if there isnt at least 20 in a division. (NT) -- have to budget wisely, 03/08/14 Sat

True it is a ballroom pageant, but that's one where they have a fantastic setup- better than a lot of theaters out there. The hard part as a director is that you kind of have to bite the financial bullet and pay for what you want before you get it- pay for a super high quality program and then you'll start attracting numbers. agree, but when I pay well over $1000 to enter, & I get no prizes, a platfor stage and no meals , mandatory ad fees, tickets, "training" sessions, program books, and a 100 other incidentals where the director is getting a kickback, something is definitely not realistic there.
