Subject: How would you handle....

You are a contestant in a pageant that doesn't have a non-compete for state titles, which is fine, but another contestant who does appearances, takes pictures at each appearance with multiple sashes/crowns.

While it's not against the rule to hold multiple titles, it looks tacky to me and affects the integrity of each system she is representing.

What do you think?

depends on the level of pageant it is. I do think it's tacky to switch around and display 2 titles at once, but in theory, if it were 2 low tier pageants, and the director says she doesn't care about a no compete, it could be done tastefully.the small pageants don't care04/28/14 Mon
I wouldn't "handle" anything. None of my business (or anyone else's) how anyone else conducts themselves. I wouldn't use both titles, but hey, if she has two titles with appearance contracts, let her do her thing. It's time for people to start minding their own business and stop worrying so much about what everyone else is doing. Such a small part of life... move on.... jeez..Really? Do you Really Care? If you do, get a life, and get it quick!04/30/14 Wed
why are you asking "how would you handle?" Are you the director? If not then it isn't your business. I personally think there should be an alligence to one system.KT104/30/14 Wed
Holding more then one title at once does two things.Embarrassing for the person that feels this has ANY integrity attached!05/01/14 Thu
In CA there is a titleholder that has a city title in one system, a national title in another and was competing in one of the big 3. It's not always about a purpose sometimes its all about someone who deems their worth from the sparkle. It is what it is...05/02/14 Fri
I really think holding two titles at once is in bad taste. I once did an appearancce and there was another woman there (who is well known as a crown chaser) She had about four different sashes and crowns with her. She didn't wear any except to whip out one after the other and have the same photos taken 4 times.Bailey Bounce05/06/14 Tue
Totally Agree. You must check the rules & regulations as each system is different. Many pageants including the Big 3 except for America (They may have 1 or 2 at large) do not have directors for every state or country. So if there is no no-compete clause and you can afford it, then there you go. If this bothers you, then your best bet is to just find a system that does not allow multiple titles. I's like to know who made anyone of you on here the crown/sash/title Nazi? What right does anyone have to judge another person? Are pageant ladies that shallow or are you just jealous? So what if a lady wants to promote 2 or 3 systems. Good for them! They must enjoy competing in pageants, it is a hobby to most. unless you are her director, mind your own business. You all need to worry about yourself, unless you live a perfect life stop judging other people.mind your own business06/04/14 Wed
