I wish all pageant websites would contain the following information:

- date, time, location of the event on the front page
- cost to attend the event and whether any discounts will apply (visiting titleholders from same or different pageant systems)
- list and photos of contestants competing with short biographies
- list of awards to be given at the pageant as well as selection criteria for each award
- list of complete pageant rules including general requirements for queens such as appearance requirements and non-compete rules.
- list of competition categories with example pictures and descriptions. These descriptions should be given to judges, so both contestants and judges have the exact same information.
- photos from last year's event in each phase of competition with each contestant.
- complete cost information to compete; one page should contain all of the costs including entry fee(s), ad page fees (and whether they are required), ticket prices, special event ticket info, hotel information, etc.
- a bonus is an active and updated pageant blog or Facebook page wherein the queen as well as contestants are highlighted.

Directors don't care enough to do this, which is mystery to me, too. Sometimes I just want to know the very basics such as date, deadlines, cost, location, and you have to dig and dig DEEP. THINK about your potential contestants and put the info IN PLAIN SIGHT. At least make it easy to navigate with simple headers. There have been times I've just given up on entering because if this is any example of how you run things, I dont' want to waste my time. The web site is your showcase! It sets the tone for the quality of your pageant. When it looks cheap, it usually means you are cheap.I have to agree 1000%05/19/14 Mon
I would like to add that you could do a blog with all this information including links to photo albums on facebook for free. I would not even be upset if a pageant avoided doing a big website in favor of a nicely designed blog with a facebook page. Simply have links to the information needed on the side of the blog for a contestant to enter the pageant. I don't care about money spent on a website, but I do care about the effort you make to provide me, a potential contestant, with easily obtained information..OP05/19/14 Mon
