This is excellent advice and one which I practice with one of my dyslexic learner when teaching spelling. A word may "look" correctly spelt on one occasion during another. Instead of instantly correcting the misspelt word I have found it useful to "revist" the word in the following lesson. Often the dyslexic learner may spell it correctly when reattempting the word or indeed, spell it in a different way altogether. I have found it useful always to discuss spelling words with the learner themselves and then you can see how they approach the word and always encourage the learner to say the word aloud.
