[ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 14:23:16 09/07/05 Wed Author Host/IP: general.hhgroup.com/64.72.137.241 I have been a Blotto fan for about 15 years (give or take) - started seeing them back at Shades in Deerfield (showing my age a bit). I have read the recent posts about Blotto not going commercial, not "really" updating their website, etc. These same types of messages have hit the board occasionally over the past few years. Personally I have accepted the fact that - despite their AWESOME talent - they will never really get further than being a GREAT bar band. However, I am confused by one thing. HOW HARD IS IT TO POST YOUR SCHEDULE FOR SEPTEMBER WHEN IT IS ALREADY SEPTEMBER 7. How are people supposed to plan to come and see you when they don't know where you are going to play? You must know by now - how about letting us know? Although the band has obviously made a conscious decision to stay local (except for the occasional Colorado trip) it seems kind of ridiculous that you cannot find a way to keep this site updated for your true fans. As someone who has kids and a family - it is much easier to plan a night out for Blotto with some advance notice. It almost seems like the band really doesn't care about this sort of thing. Before the Blotto "family" starts to gang up on me on this - I am not bashing the band in any way. I respect the career decisions they have made and I am unbelievably thankful that we have them here in Chicago. I would just like to know when they are playing with some advance notice. Subject Author Date I think you have a very reasonable request. But didn't they post a few weekends into Sep. on the Aug. card? The only show that changed was the Popcorn fest. I beleave it was Dave alan that gave us the heads up that they weren't going to play this show. So probably after the shows pass that are already posted on the Aug card I'm sure they'll let us know whats comeing up.
