Dean, something has got lost in the translation!
I fully agree with all your comments, the thrust of my argument being that purse comes before pitch at this stage of the season. Hence, there should have been a game on the 'main' pitch last week, and the most profitable game should be on the big pitch this week. If that's the Select game, and everyone involved is happy, so be it.
My disagreement was with the anonymous assertion that only the 1st. XV were entitled to play on the main pitch, and that other games with revenue potential were somehow unworthy.
