There is an old letter stating that a ggrandfather was a "Mohawk Indian." His name is Gilbert William Fox. He and his siblings Charles and Chauncy were born in raised in Allegan county, Michigan. Their parents, Elihue B. Fox and Wealthy Pierce or Haner were from New York. Elihue was a land owner in Allegan Co. in the mid 1800's. Any information will be helpful.
