Looking for any records, birth, school or anything showing he lived on the reservation. Pictures of his parents or family. I have his death record, on David Judson Mackey. He was my Great Grandfather. Born on Indian reservation in Green Bay, WI. on 1-31-1858. Worked in saw mills all his life. Went from saw mill to saw mill, sharpening saws. Married Sophia Ellen Baumgartner 2-23-1886 in Filer City, Sophia was born 6-10-1866 in Pennsylvania.
David died 7-6-1918 in St. Ignace, MI. His father was Alexandre Mackey, born 1835 in Canada and he was married to Abbygale or Abbryail Fim or something like that. Can't make out the spelling on his death certificate. She was also born in Canada. The copy of his death record is registration #27 from Dept. of State, Mackinac County, MI. Liber 3, page 86, certified copy record dated June 26, 1979.
David and Sophia had 4 children, Iven B., Ineze L. born Aug. 1888, died 4-1-1951 in Alpena and buried at St. Ignace, MI., a still born daughter 3-9-1896 and Raymond Clarence Mackey 7-3-1892 born in Stronach, MI. Raymond Clarence is my Grandfather and he married Mable Louise Duffiney.
