 My ancestor John H. PLASTER (b. 1829 in KY)md a Samish Indian woman named Cakanna (b. abt 1845). Her white name was Louise. She died in about 1868. He then md Luisa JAMESON, and later Luisa's sister Lucy JAMESON.
Cakanna, her sister Yea Yeastechun, her brother Seachum, and her mother Hillctsiliga, were captured by the Nooka Indians. Later they were bartered to the Callam tribe. Bill Jarman paid ransom of blankets to the Callam tribe for the release of these 3 women, and returned them to the Samish tribe.
Yea Yeastechun md "Blanket Bill" Jarman. Would love to learn more about any of these people.
