 does anyone know of ways of connecting New Mexico's genizaros with their plains ancestors. as you all probably know genizaros were plains indian servants and slaves during the spanish period in New mexico. there were a lot of them. they made up the majority of the population of New Mexico if you include the Genizaros who intermarried with the Spanish.
