 I am trying to trace my indian heratige. My great grandmother was supposed to have been on the Trail of Tears and was her husband and children we left in southern missouri due to illiness. They were given the Anderson name. Her name was Gretta and the children were taken away from the partents.

I am also looking for information on my great grandmother on my father's side. I have found and article where it says the children were raised by the cherokee after the parents had passed away.

Any info would be appreciated.
