My father, Frank M Williams, b/1900 in Clarke Co. Ms was said to have been on 1910 Dawes Roll. His father, Ira Jefferson Williams, married Emma Elizabeth Davis who I think was the Indian ancestor. My father's older brothers and sisters, Ira Jefferson, Mary Elizabeth and Iona were said to be on earlier rolls, although their younger sisters and brothers by my Grandfather's second wife, were not.I believe that the Indian ancestry came from my Grandmother Emma Davis and her parents Henry Davis and Matilda Davis, both born in 1835 in Mississippi. Can anyone help me resolve this? I would like to clarify it while I am still living as I told my granddaughters their beauty came from their Indian grandmother and I would like to prove it to them. Thank you for any help.
