i agree with 35, the first few yrs of wcs being paved, it was packed. not to beat a dead horse, but the economy was better, just a fact. if you guys wanting dirt at wcs think that's the answer, then you don't know jack about racing itself, other than having a car and putting a helmet on! the real problem goes way deeper and has been slowly happening for years. the focus on grassroots racing and making the money off the gate and not the racer has been long gone, and that's part of the problem. i'm so tired of this "put dirt on it" thing! dirt won't change anything. racing in general has suffered over the years, and what surface a track is has nothing to do with it. bottom line is, if you wanna run dirt go do so, pavement do so. there are plenty of tracks out there to do either! quit trying to teach a pig to sing... all you're gonna do is irritate the pig.
