Breaking into racing isn't rocket science nor is it something that is easy either. First off, YOU have to determine what class you want to run. My son wanted to run mini stock. A good entry level class that can lead to bigger and faster cars. Do some research on the web (racingjunk.com, racecarmagazine.com...to name a few) and see what cars are available. We got a complete race ready car for Jeremy. Once, YOU have decided what class, then get the rules out and find a car that matches (or as close as possilbe) our rules and know before hand what changes you might need to make. Third, get the right safety equipment...shoes, gloves, firesuit, helmet, all of it. If you scrimp in any other area, DON'T do it when it comes to safety. Fourth...once you have the car and go through it completely. Examine all welds, bars, mounting points, body, EVERYTHING! It's your butt that is going in this, so don't take it for granted that it's good. Last...once you've gone completely through the car and are ready to hit the track....put a nice WIDE yellow stripe across the back bumper...let everyone know that you are a rookie and they will give you the same respect on the track that you should be giving them. Sometimes tempers flair on the track and in the pits, but the easiest thing to do is walk away and race another day. Don't bring tempers or anger on to the racing surface. Road rage has no place on the track it can lead to very serious problems.

If you can do all this, then lets get it on!
