The parent issue is always a tough one. I ended up telling my parents that I was smoking about 2 months after I started.
They ended up being REALLY cool about it. After a long lecture of how bad smoking is for u (even though they both smoke), they said it was my decision, and I could smoke if I wanted to.
Since both of ur parents smoke, too, u might want to talk to them about it before u let them know that u started smoking (even though u may have already started). U can tell them that a lot of kids are smoking at parties or after school, and u will likely be in a situation where you'll have to try it soon, and you'd like to try it first at home in a more comfortable environment.
Whether u tell your parents now or a few months from now, or if they find out somehow, it will be a difficult and awkward conversation either way, but this way if ur up front about it, they will prbably trust u more.
