Hey Alan, I get what you're saying and totally understand. The only argument about Madison Avenue is that, I am 26 years old. I consider myself part of that audience that the station is trying to get and keep. Friends of mine who enjoy oldies and doo-wop aren't tuning in because they can get the content being played elsewhere on the dial.
I don't completely recall the format changes before they flipped to JACK-FM, but if what you guys are saying is true, these Madison Avenue people have it all wrong. The one thing people have rarely complained about is the 50's-pre 1964 music.
I know you stated that you like the 50's, and our opinion on the new WCBS-FM catologue and format may differ a bit, but I am really enjoying the conversation and everyone's opinion.
