Jack did not do well in NY because it replaced the very popular format of Oldies on CBS-FM as well and a lot of people did not listen to the station for that reason. Another reason it did not do well in NY is because of the lack of DJ's. However, I do think Jack would have done better if K-Rock or WNEW-FM switched to Jack at the time. Jack is not doing well in Chicago either where it replaced an Oldies Station. I found Cogan's voice very insulting. Jack may be doing well in some markets but as Cousin Brucie said, The NY Market is different than any market in the country.
