What I have missed most since CBSFM got 'jacked' (asides from the radio personalities) was finding a station that played the mix of 50's, 60's, 70's, and even the 80's. Having grown up on 77 Musicradio WABC and CBS 101.1 FM, I have always enjoyed the wide variety of music that they played. Around Christmastime 2005, I went to Sirius radio, signed a 2 year contract and have been listening to their various oldies stations. But Sirius, Rhapsody, and other internet radio, only package oldies as channels dedicated to a particular decade! How frustrating - even on Sirius radio (and I would imagine XM) fully aware that oldies stations like CBSFM were being replaced by JACk or other programming around the country and did not try to create something similar. Thankfully CBSFM is back! Even if no 50's and early 60's. Hopefully CGS FM will fill in the blanks by putting in a few 'specialty' shows to 50's doo wop, 50's rock, and early 60's girl groups and so forth as the new CBS FM develops.

A weekly show on Sundays similar to Don K Reed's Doo wop show, and mixing in Elvis and other early rockers/pop from the 50's/60's would be a good idea - while emphasising mid 60's on up.

Once again welcome back CBS FM!
Ed
