I always thought Jack should have been put on 92.3 when Howard Stern left the station to go to Sirius since the station was going to go in another direction anyway. Jack was put on 101.1 to get publicity because it replaced the very popular Oldies format. The strategy failed. Jack might be still around today if it had been put on 92.3 or 102.7 because it might have succeeded. It was obvious from the beginning that it would never succeed on 101.1. Putting Jack on 101.1 was the biggest mistake in NY Radio history.
