Having moved on to Sirius two years before the JACKing of CBS-FM, I don't miss it at all. Specifically, I do not miss the CBS-FM of 2001-05. CBS-FM of the 1980s and 90s was the premier oldies station in the country. Oldies stations in every market wanted to be like CBS-FM. When WOGL Philadelphia and WODS Boston began their oldies formats, Joe McCoy consulted them. As most of us know, both are CBS stations.

Unfortunately, things change and sometimes not for better. It still seems incredible, but WOGL and WODS still are oldies stations while CBS-FM, the station they owe their existence to is long gone. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, that is a cruel irony.
