I read about the format change on WBIG and caught the last 30 minutes on Monday.

As I have said here and on other boards, I have never seen as much of a rush to get rid of a specific type of music on regular over the air radio.

I still believe that after what happened last June, the so called experts including the ad agencies panicked. They all said that the people who listen to oldies are "to old" and we can't sell them to prospective advertisers. What a crock.

I think radio cares more about the ad agencies rather than the listeners.

If you don't have the listeners, you can't sell the station to potential advertisers.
One other thing: I understand that before the format change, the motown songs were removed from the playlist on Big 100.3. Interesting.
