I agree with you 100% that the industry got scared when they saw stations in NY and Chicago dropped oldies and got scared and they did not have to. This led to other stations accross the country to drop oldies which was wrong. As I said in the past which you agreed that WKHL should have stayed with oldies and increased their playlist. People forget that Chicago had another oldies station in WRLL which added 60's music to its playlist and has become a good alternative. New York had no alternatives. You mentioned Dusty Rhodes. Well what about Jack Armstrong who is a living legend not being on the air because WWKB dropped oldies. Radio stations today do not care about their loyal listeners and giving them what they want. They only care about Demos and getting a young audience so they can get more money. Unfortunatly sales is the only thing that matters today and ratings mean nothing. There is something called good will and good will makes money. Radio stations today are wrong in what they are doing and at this point I do not know if their thinking is going to change.
