I think part of the problem is that boomers are a little tired of the same old stuff, too. Speaking for myself, I would LOVE a station that played stuff from 1955-1975 IF they actually had a wide playlist, and didn't play the same handful of songs over and over again. You get tired of hearing the same songs for forty years and the thousandth time. Why don't they actually use the top 40 playlists from a 20 year period? Or heck, the top ten? That's a TON of songs.

I largely listen to WQXR, now. For one thing, I've always liked classical music, but for another, they're the ones who play a lot of stuff I never heard before.
