Bruce, I remember your IM that day :-)
I had gone to Micky Dolenz's 100th show celebration that morning and gone out to lunch with Mary afterwards. When I got home between 2 & 3, Bill Brown was still on the air. I had to go out again and came back when the "Jack" songs and Dragnet clips were being played. I actually thought it was one of Bob Shannon's funny bits at that time - not in my wildest imagination did I expect a format change on that day of all days. And like many others, I went to the NYRMB to find out what was going on.
