Well, all I can say that, although I live in nearby Jackson Heights (Queens), WMTR's reception is quite weak during the nighttime, but sometimes OK in the daylight hours. It is a bit better when I could pick it up on a car radio even within the canyons of Manhattan.

This is the same problem in trying to listen to WICC's "The Oh, Wow! Oldies Show" from Bridgeport, after I have listened to WABC's "Saturday Night Oldies" show for the full four hours. However, beginning at around 4:00am and into the daylight hours, WICC's reception comes into pretty good in my neighborhood in Queens.
