Sad to say it, but it doesn't surprise me. Advertisers do not want to sponsor oldies because of "undesirable" demographics, regardless of ratings or profit potential. As long as business is done this way, OTA oldies stations will continue to disappear.

Ironically, the market advertisers want isn't listening to traditional radio. That "desirable" market is hooked up to their iPods! Those younger listeners aren't listening either! Not only are new vehicles arriving in dealerships satellite-ready, many have an AUX button which can accept an iPod! Clear Channel and CBS lose no matter what! Good for them!
