I am a Sirius subscriber and yesterday I was listening to Norm N. Nite and he was playing some songs I was not familar with and I did not tune out. As for playing the same song over and over again, I am against that but if it is a song which I really like like Respect by Aretha Franklin, I will never get tired of hearing it. Most radio stations will not play unfamilar songs because they fear as you said that the casual listener will tune out. Norm N. Nite was playing songs yesterday on Sirius which he probably was not allowed to play on CBS-FM. As I said before, the key to a good oldies station is variety and a big playlist. When I listen to WLNG with a big playlist, I will never hear a song over and over again. It is obvious when you listened to CBS-FM at the end with a playlist of 284 songs you will hear the same songs over and over again.
