I would be in favor of a rally but only if it were done right. I have no criticism of the organizers of the original rally; we all tried really hard to do something with limited time and resources. There were a lot of things not done properly; we can learn from the experience:

1.We were restricted to a sliver of sidewalk more than 100 feet up the block from the entrance to the CBS-FM building so that staff at Infinity/CBS Radio and others we may have been trying to impact may have never seen us.

2. It was lunch hour on a weekday in midtown Manhattan so there were a lot of people on the street anyway--we were sort of drowned out by the usual hustle and bustle.

3. Because it was a weekday, many of us at work in the suburbs or unable to take time from lunch hour could not attend.

4. Since we didn't have a podium or means to address the rally with a microphone, there were no speeches to rally the troops, send a message or talk about next action--instead we had a variety of impromptu chants of "Oldies now" or "hit the road Jack."

5. We had a few celebrities present but didnt have a means to promote this aspect.

So if we do it again, lets be more planful and organize it to have a big impact in the street and in the media.
