In reply to: Alan Berman 's message, "Ratings for Jack announved" on Tuesday, February 28, 12:51:42am

I reviewed the latest Arbitron ratings and things don't look good for Jack. The station was down in 25-54, morning drive, middays, PM Drive and even in evenings with adults. Jack-FM is faring worse in the suburbs: Nassau from 1.7 to 1.4 and Middlesex, Somerset, Union Counties NJ 1.6 to 1.3.

In the Fall Jack pointed to signs of growth in desired demographics despite the negligible increase in overall ratings. Now the trend seems to be down overall and from what I can see the rating is actually down further if one looks at the November to December to January trend.

A few months ago, Joel Hollander kept pointing to WNEW-FM stressing it takes a year or longer to build but now that station had a few down books and appears stuck at 1.8.

No more excuses--they should finally admit they made a terrible mistake on June 3.
