The "old" CBS-FM listeners were just that -- old.

And that was the problem. Advertisers don't have a lot of interest in the over-50 crowd. You can argue that forever, but the people who spend the money for advertising set the rules in radio. Whether they're right or dead wrong, they set the agenda.

And you're right, Ingram WAS a lot funnier than a lot of people on radio. Key word: WAS.
