I tried, Lord knows I tried... Micky's voice was very thin, high pitched and grating, his humor and entertainment features were sophomoric. Poor Mike was reduced to Loud Ed McMahon like belly laughs, almost like a laugh track... he became "Micky's Monkee"

The net effect of the show was that they came across as "trying too hard", or The Emperor's not wearing any clothes! It was a pretty empty morning show once you got past the fact that Micky had been a "zany, Loveable, Monkee" a long, long time ago.
