You are 18 years old, CBS-FM and the Sponsors are looking for a younger audience and that is the reason for the change in format. They are not interested in the audience who listens to oldies which is older. Sponsors and CBS-FM are not interested in anybody over 45. You said Jack worked in other markets but other markets are not New York and the NY audience is very different. The NY audience had a relationship with the personalities on CBS-FM such as Cousin Brucie for many years. This is the big difference between NY and the other markets. CBS-FM probably will not bring back oldies because as you said it will admit failure but I guarentee you Jack will continue to fail in New York. You don't a format of a station that was a success for 33 years. In other words you do not fix that is not broken.
