Hya Frank,

This household in NE Pennsylvania also has been without a killer-grade Oldies signal for years. WKAP 1470 Allentown and WFBS 1280 Berwick are the available free ones, with no nighttime signals, though. Every so often an FMer drifts that way for a while, such as Variety 99.7 from Mount Carmel and Magic 105.5 from Tamaqua.

We can get WOGL from Philly here as well. But since computer illiterates such as we here largely have replaced Oldies radio with mp3's and CDs for in-home listening, the belief has to be that others have done so as well and will continue to do so.

The Internet streams of WGHT Pompton Lakes, WLNG Sag Harbor, the WCBS-FM Oldies stream and a few other Internet sources fill whatever void there is at nighttime. 'KB is fine enough in the car, as is 77 Saturday Nights.

As long as terrestrial radio continues to plow older music listeners out the door, we'll find alternatives. Oldies listeners have done so for over forty years. We had these alternatives in WMCA and WINS and WABC solely in New York, and we'll find them again.
