Another oldies station bit the dust in NE Pa..Oldies 92.1 after playing Christmas music is now AC. Yes oldies are becoming extinct ever so slowly on comercial radio. If if yu find an oldies station, its the repetition,the ever increasing 70s music and the commercial load.

That is why I have "crossed over" and subscribed to XM Satellite radio. Its probably the greatest decision I ve made in a long time. XM has their 50s and 60s channels that play an incredible variety of music with an "oh wow" song constantly. It reminds me of what oldies stations sounded like 10 to 15 years ago.

Yes we still have WKBW at night, and in the NY area WMTR..but Im so glad I made the switch. For under $20 a month with a car and home unit to hear these great oldieswhenever I want is quite a treat.
