I have to agree with you regarding the ever increasing amount of songs from the 70s on oldies stations. Also one of the things that helped to kill the format is the limited playlist and the borring liner card announcers that have no clue about the music or just don't care.

I have heard the 60s on 6 on XM. I do not own either XM or Sirius at the moment but I have always been a fan of Terry Young who does afternoons on the 60s channel and on Fridays presents a tribute to one of the great top 40 stations of the past. I heard it while visiting a friend in Texas recently.

I still believe that someone in the market will make the right decision and close the hole that now exists as we do not have a full time outlet on regular over the air radio for great rock 'n' roll from the past. I hope this happens soon.
