Subject: Well sweetie let me tell you, don't waste your time if you are less than 5'9. If your are 5'9 and above, don't waste your time if you ain skinny, bordering on anoerixic. Cus Michelle dem on this international standard tip, and and they chasing after plaacement so much they losing sight of reality, taking these girls monies who they know they ain ga crown. If you meet those criterias then fine go for it, you ain even gatta be that pretty, and you may win, or come close. Of course only two girls can win, so anyone entering should be equipped with the goods that they are lookin for in order to get a good shot at the crown. Sasha had a shot cus she had height and that modelesque body. $2000 is alot to be investing on a wing and prayer, and it dont seem like a pretty 5'7 or less girl with toned body is someone who they would crown. So y waste these girls time and energy? Have a screening, choose who u think have a good chance, and work from there. But u know why that ain ga happen? Cus they want money! For years, people complained about Gaynell's Miss Bahamas and the substandard way it was run. Now people are complaining that Michelle's pageant requires girls to be at an international level! No one is criticizing them for having high standards, or wanting a queen with an international look. Certainlly that is not a bad thing. My criticism is accepting people like tyrhonda knowles for example, who they know they are not goin to crown. Every year there are like 5 to 6 girls who are just fillers. Can someone explain to me the rationale behind this? Is it just to have numbers, or do they honestly believe they have a chance. And no poster i am not a former contestant, so i have nothing to be bitter about.. In fact MBO has approached me several times to do their pageant, but after observing what they stand for I am against it. The last sensible Queen they had to me that stood for something and was about something being visible in the community etc. was Anya. And jus recently Braneka was ok too. Using words like "bordering anorexic" and calling Sasha "average" sounds a lot like sour grapes to me. You say only Braneka and Anya stood for something, yet Sasha placed 20TH OUT OF 113 CONTESTANTS IN BEAUTY WITH A PURPOSE! So she must have done something good in the community which you would know about if you bothered to visit the Miss Bahamas site or their facebook group page.
