Subject: LOL Not like Miss Bahamas. Some countries 1st runner up goes to Miss World, The overall winner goes to Miss Universe. Let me repeat that doesn't exists for Miss Bahamas!....VENEZUELA, MEXICO, RUSSIA, ECUADOR, PANAMA, SPAIN, GUATEMALA, UNTIL 2006 INDIA, ANGOLA, EGYPT, T&T, BOLIVIA, UNTIL 2010 PHILIPPINES AND KOREA, FINLAND, NETHERLANDS, PERU, ETC overall winners go to Miss Universe and second place girls goes to Miss World. It is only a small handful of countries, primarily in Latin America that send their overall winners to MU instead of MW. In almost every other part of the world, from Norway to India it is the MW pageant that gets the oveall winner. Overall, MW has 90 national winners, 12 runners-up (or co-winners) and 34 winners of a captive contest. MU has 45 national winners, 9 Runners up (or cowinners) and 45 independent franchise winners. Even if you take the differences in attendance out, nearly 70% of the MW delegates are national contest winners, while only 45% of the MU delegates are.
