Bobbe,

Amen brother!!!..........this is a great piece!!!!! I may not be the best steel player in the world, and I know I am not. But I would rather stay home and play to a good George Strait CD than go play with a bunch of musicians who don't have the seasoning, the listening skills, the respect for teamwork, the desire for taste that I do as a result of having played a lot of years with musicians of less caliber than me. Thanks for writing this piece. I appreciate and understand it completely! That's why I seldom play out any more.......deep inside, I wish I could.

I heard George Strait's Ace in the Hole Band in Las Vegas in December, minus George. They played some great country music. They did what they wanted. They did it with amazing feel and class.......and they did it with a few young players in the band who surely must have been awestruck to even be on the stage with the old pro's. But it was fantastic to watch......made me so very envious.

Keep up the good work Bobbe. I hope one day to stop by your shop in Nashville. Last time I was in Nashville was on a Saturday......and you were closed.
