Subject: MAKE EASY MONEY FROM HOME

Author:
DERRICK

Date Posted: 22:56:28 02/01/13 Fri

Here another quick way to make money!!

Easy money this is an investment opportunity for serious people only!!! How to turn $6 into $6,000!!!!!! Reading this could change your life! It changed mine...
You have most likely seen or heard about "the letter"; a $6.00 program that was recently televised on 20/20, oprah winfrey, martha stewart, and an article published in the wall street journal on 6/16/2001. I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought, yeah right, this must be a scam, but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 to each of the 6 names and address stated in the article. You then place your own name and address in the bottom of the list at ..6, and post the article in at least 200 newsgroups. (there are thousands) no catch, that was it.
So after thinking it over, and talking to a few people first, I thought about trying it. I figured: what have I got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00, right? Then I invested the measly $6.00.
Well guess what!! Within 7 days, I started getting money in the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $25.00. By the end of the second week I had made a total of over $1,000.00! In the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing.
This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's worth the $6.00 and the 6 stamps...If everyone just follows through and does exactly what this says you will earn the money you deserve. It's certainly worth $6.00, and 6 stamps. I was in a bad economic state before I found this article... I didn't believe this really worked until I actually started getting mail from all over the world... I bought everything I needed... This idea came in the right time exactly :-) let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works....Also, make sure you print a copy of this article now, so you can get the information off of it as you need it. I promise you that if you follow the directions exactly, you will start making more money than you though possible... And it is so easy.
Please note: please follow these directions exactly, and $50,000 or more can be yours in 20 to 60 days. Sending six dollars will be nothing when you earn your $50,000 or more. This program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants. Please continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions. You will now become part of the mail order business. In this business your product is not solid and tangible, it's a service. You are in the business of developing mailing lists. Many large corporations are happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. However, the money made from the mailing lists is secondary to the income which is made from people like you and me asking to be included in that list. Here are the 4 easy steps to success:
...................Step 1: get 6 separate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of paper; please put me on your mailing list.
Now get 6 us $1.00 bills and place one inside each of the 6 pieces of paper so the bill will not be seen through the envelope (to prevent thievery). Next, place one paper in each of the 6 envelopes and seal them. You should now have 6 sealed envelopes, each with a piece of paper stating the above phrase, your name and address, and a $1.00 bill. What you are doing is creating a service. This is absolutely legal! You are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for it! Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it all. So I checked it out with the u.S. Post office (1-800-725-2161) and they confirmed that it is indeed legal! .......................................... ................... Mail the 6 envelopes to the following addresses:
...1) Rashid Muhammed p.o. Box 806 Haddock, Ga 31033
...2) Chris Rassi 716 NE 12th st. Grants Pass. Or 97526
...3) A. Spina 1006 South Orlando Ave, Los Angeles, Ca 90035
...4) Kimberly Dobson P.O.Box 1213 Winterville, NC 28590
...5) Whitney Goulbourne 119 Jackson Ave, Nyack NY 10960
…6) Derrick D.Perry 516 Harlem Ave Hueytown, AL 35023 ...............Step 2: now take the...#1 name off the list that you see above, move the other names up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc...) and add your name as # 6 on the list.
.................Step 3: change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 newsgroups

There were four for lunch, Joel and Susan, Roger and me. I had a great ride up to Alice's, I took the long way. With damp roads and very cool temps. The 1700 with the ABS made the ride easy, no worry's about brake lock up.

Lunch was great, it was nice and warm inside, but outside the temp was low 40's. Maybe next time you all can join us.

Greetings from NICE, California. 8 members of NorCal Voyagers are here enjoying the day and company of each other. 3 bikes were able to make it here on Friday as the weather was hit and miss (mostly hit!) with significant rain showers - but no hail!. On Saturday, we also had two more members ride in from Sacramento to join us for lunch.

On Saturday - all traveled over to Ukiah via car or bike and had a second breakfast (on a smaller scale than the 3 course breakfast provided by the B&B) at Schatz's Bakery - We then walked the shops in downtown. After 'shopping', some then ventured down to Hopland for lunch - 30 minutes south on 101 - while others went wine tasting.

After lunch another dispersal occured as some members headed back to the B & B while others went up and over Hopland Grade on their way back to Nice.

Now, many of us are here sitting on the porch looking out over Clearlake finding our appetite and getting ready for dinner.

Make plans now to attend next year!

Hey guys. I was a charter member of your club, but haven't ridden in a few years. I have a 93 Voyager 1200 that I haven;t opperated in several years. It was running then, but probably needs tires and some tuning etc. Do you know of anyone that might be interested? Have had some troubles in my business over the past couple years and would like to let it go to a Voyager lover. It does have a broken front fender due to someone backing into it, but it did not go down at that time. I remember some issues with intercom, but can;t clarify.

Hank
Yes hope to see you in Kanab this July. About the V17 I've just got over 1900 miles on it and it's beginning to loosen up a bit. The biggest thing to get over is the V-twin vibration, next is that my inseam is only 29" and those floor boards are a long way away. The fairing has better protection then the 12, even in the cold we had a few weeks ago I was able to stay warm.

The engine gobs of torque, and the more miles I ride it seems to be more power. I've only rev'd it to 5,000 rpm once and it seemed ok. I like the six speed, and the fuel injection. In the morning all I have to do is push the starter button and it idles by itself. The frame is stout and so it doesn't flex when in turns, the brakes are what the V12 needed.

Overall I'm happy with the V17, I just forgot how much work goes into making a new motorcycle fit me. And chrome it adds up, and I'm starting all over again.

Have a question here for all you CCC's (That's cold case carriers, AKA ice chests) who tote an ice chest on the tongue of your trailers:

Where do you find the platform that holds the chest? Do you just fabricate it?

Looking to add one to the tongue of our recently purchased cargo trailer, any help or suggestions would be welcome!

We looked at chromed shelfs made of wire at Lowes, but don't know if they will support the weight.

Sorry but there was no internet in the area around Wallowa Lake, will if you rode to Joseph, Mad Mary's had it. There was so much going on and then all of my old friends to catch up with didn't ride to town.

This was even better then last year. Monday night BBQ up at Duane & Charlottes cabin. Tue Valcan Nation rides & Regestraion, that evening Pot Luck dinner. Wed Skills games, a 140 mile ride with lunch down at the bottom of Rattle Snake Grade, Show and Shine, that nite big bonfire at the Ash cabin. Thur, another 100 mile ride to Hells Canyon overlook where we grilled hot dogs and stood around in the rain. The ride back was in sunshine and dry. That night was the awards banquet, Where NorCal did quite well.

Now I would like to thank Pirie Jenson, State Farm Agent for sponsoring all of the award Plaques.

I got home last night Wayne Bright and I rode togethor until just before Sacramento, I headed home. Wayne Called this morning he stayed the night in Gult. Wayne should be home by now.

Here I am again on the road, this time to Oregon. Yesterday started the day early, before Trisha and I left Half Moon Bay we stopped by La Di Da Cafe. Made it to Manteca for the NorCal Meeting. After the meeting Trisha, Wayne Bright and I left heading for Lovelock NV. We took 88 over the mtns, but rain came down as we arrived in Carson City. We altered plans and headed for Reno around all of the rain. Arrived in Lovelock a 8pm had dinner, found a Motel room for Trisha and I, Wayne did the same. Rocket Rod was a couple of hours ahead of us so he made it to the Humboldt River Ranch Resort. There was another Voyager in the parking lot of the Motel, it belonged to Bruce and Cindi Kuffman NorCal Members. They are also on there way to the Western Regional Rally.

ToDay we Wayne,Bruce and Cindy and Me met Rocket Rod at the Truck Stop at mile maker 129 NV. All of us rode to Winnemuca NV. Stopped by another coffe shop for Espresso. We left Bruce and Cindi there as the three of us headed north on US 95. Wonderful road and as we got up north the countryside changed, I now am beginning to see why everyone is moving to Idaho, Oregon. Wayne was having some problems with the heat, but with rest stops plenty of water he solders on. Today we ended the day in Fruitland Idaho.

Trisha left us this morning in Lovelock NV. She head back to Half Moon Bay, yes she still has to work. Just spoke to her on the phone, she's home. This was Trisha's longest Solo ride todate.

Got home late afternoon yesterday, both Trisha and I were tired. The last 200 miles were on the Pacific Coast Highway. What a day, no clouds and the temp just touching 70 degrees. It was slow going but when the weather is like yesterday who cares.

About the AVA Rally it was four days. With monday set aside for Seminars, for both men and women. The rally dinner was worth the money.

Tuesday was the first day for guided rides, NorCal Voyagers had a table set up where we sold t-shirts, neck cooler (made by Diane Kamoto) then that night before the welcome dinner they set up the Custom & Chrome Showdown.

Wednesday was a new event this year the AVA FUN RUN.

it was like this all four days plenty to do and all types of motorcycles.

But wait there was the Valcan Nation Tour. Which was giving demo rides on all things Valcan. ROK was there supply goodies, including free t-shirts for taking a demo ride.

Feel like you missed out, then are you lucky because it will be at the Western Regional Rally.

Been about a week and a half since the last post. Got to De Gray and it was hot. Set up the campsite very nice camp ground. The Rally itself was great will tell everyone more about the Rally. One thing it was hot for the whole Rally.

Left De Gray on Fri. rode up Ak 7 up to inerstate 40 what a great ride. Because of the heat we were only able to ride to Clinton Okla. On the next day we rode all the way to Gallup NM. Back to the dry heat. Was up at 4am to get a cool start.

Today we left Gallup NM 5am trying to beat the heat. When we got to Needles Ca temp was 108. It did cool down to an even 100 all the way to Barstow CA. I want some of that rain. We stopped in Bakersfield for the night. It was another long day.

Tomorrow we are taking CA 46 to the Pacific Coast Highway. Yep I hope its cool all the way to Half Moon Bay.

Date Posted: 17:00:14 07/17/11 Sun

Today the Dice to Ice - 'busted' and 'cracked-up'. Not because of an accident - but due to rain forecast. Future reservations along HWY101 were cancelled as the forecast for rain along the coast ran Sunday thru Wednesday.

Todays radar forecast with dark green and yellow shades were predicted to occur during the time we expected to be passing thru the Seattle to Tacoma corridor

The morning saw the 'Harley' set out heading south on I-5, while the 'Voyager' decided to extend the stay one more day in Bellingham. Then the next day head south as the forecast is for less rain and only a few showers.

(For the Voyager XII with the taller windshield - anybody else have problems with drops gathering at the top of the shield and then rolling down the back side? It even does this at 60 MPH plus while raining. Yes, I have sprayed and polished the windshield every day before heading out!)

PS - the Harley did report they arrived safely for the day about 1/2 way thru the state of Oregon.

and today - it rained - but only for the last 60 miles!!! Left Kamloops at 8:00 AM - had breakfast at Shaw Springs on Hwy 1 about 2 hours down the road. Got the weather report from people heading North (we were heading South!) - saying sprinkles every once in awhile - on went the Froggs! and as we were leaving - our first sprinkle. Down the Frasier River Canyon we rode.

Stopped at Hells Gate Tram - and decided not to take the tram further down into the canyon as were were trying to leave time to visit Minter Gardens about 1 hour a way - just past 'Hope'. and as we went thru Hope, we did have roads with enough water to have spray off the tires. 1/2 the group did the Garden Tour - 1/2 sat on a bench outside - any guesses who toured and who did not?

After the garden tour - headed south to our exit to cross the border back into the USA. Rain all the way - and even while we were waiting in line about 10 minutes for to pass the border checkpoint.

A few dry patches of roadway during the final 20 miles to our hotel and then we could peel the Froggs off - Peel, because the temps were in the low 70's!!!! Seattle, Rain and 70's you say - Yup - just another indication of an unusual weather year.

Will be checking the weather radar in the morning and deciding the best time to head to our next stop - Astoria, OR -

Got to wear the Frogg Toggs ALL day. But it did not rain all day - just off and on showers, road damp, then we, then dry. The heaviest rain came while we were eating lunch at Blue River. Water was pouring off the roof. So, we make sure to gear up before going outside. Still a sprinkle and with the Froggs on- did not care the seat was all wet.

Heading on down the road - saw cars leaving kicking up rooster tails - YET - 300 yards down the road - it was dry again. HA HA - fooled us thinking we were in for a good rain run!

Temp went from 49 to 77 during the 280 mile run - took off the Frogg Toggs for the last 30 minutes of the ride. Now that we know they work - and the windshield sheds water - we look forward to our next run - and the last chance to use any of the Canadian money we have - then back across to the US border near Vancouver. ...and the forecast has more drops of water expected the further south and west we go!

Banff to Jasper. 180 miles of prime time viewing! This is and WAS the ICE portion of the ride. Lots of tall mountains with snow and a good number of glaciers visable from the main road.

We even slowed down to pass a bear on the shoulder of the road. A more rare sighting on this trip, a green Voyager XII heading in the opposite direction.

Having arrived in Jasper we are now just over 1/2 done with the ride.

Tomorrow (Friday) we start heading south and west to end the 280 mile ride day in Kamloops.

AND - it rained ALL night - along with two bouts of thunder. The front moved thru and we were able to depart at 8:30 AM (instead of planned 8:00 AM). 4 lane road and the slow lane heading north had two dry stripes where the tires had dried up the road.

All the way into and thru Calgary with only a few trucks kicking up spray onto the windshield.

Arrived in Banff (after having to slow WAY down for an ELK with huge rack that had gotten onto the side median and could not find a way back off the side of the road. Found out you can have a group rate for 2 to 7 people if NOT in the same car - but as motorcycles travel together at all times. No Ride day tomorrow and no report planned - we are booked for a tour so the guys at the front of the bikes can get some of the scenery burned into our memory!

Thursday we head to Jasper - and the weather will bear watching on when and if the Frogg Toggs come out again. (it was modified Frogg Toggs today - Holli had on the top part, Kirk had on the bottom part - yes, we have TWO pair!)

2 bikes on the Dice to Ice run- John and Michel; Kirk and Holli. Arrived in Claresholm, Alberta, CANADA just before 'significant' thunderstorm rolled thru - got the covers on just in time. This day was approx 260 miles. Shortest run so far. LOTS of 70 MPH speed limits in Idaho and Montana.
Going-to-the-Sun road thru Glacier is supposed to be open on Wed., so we went around the bottom of the park from Whitefish, MT. temps have ranged from 48 in the AM to low 90's at the end of the ride - 4:00 pm ish.
Roads have ranged from new pavement to one 3 miles stretch of road construction having a dirt/gravel detour.
Heading to Banff tomorrow with a two day stay. Bikes running OK with all the needs of 2 people for 14 days packed onto the bike!

Yesterday was a very short day just 127 miles made it to Amarillo TX where we were held up by the Rotary in Amarillo TX. They took both Trisha and I to a hotel and put us up for the night. Then took us out for dinner and a show at the Palo Duro State Park.

Today we sleep in and left Amarillo TX about 11am. Taking back roads to Wichita Falls TX 280 miles took us seven hours and the last four hours where in temps of 108 to 111. Both Trisha and I are now cooling off in the Ecno Lodge. Both motorcycles ran great in the heat, Trisha is handling the heat.

Hi All

Here we are in Tucumcari NM. The last two hours of the ride temp was up to 100 degrees. Both the Voyager and Goldwing did great in the heat, so did the riders. Today was all on two lane roads, stopped by Great Sand Dunes, Fort Garland and got stuck in traffic in Taos NM. Found a great coffee shop in Hooper CO which is in the middle of the San Louis Valley. Did get a lot of smoke from the wild fires in NM. Rode slow and was able to get 42 mpg.

Hi All
Here we are stopped for the night, Salida, Colorado. American Classic Inn, nice couple next door are riding a Goldwing trike. Been hot over 100 everyday so far, mesh jacket and pants are working great. Voyager is pulling the trailer no problem. Did run a bit warm Sat and Sun but that was because it was a little low on water. Took care of that and today was a walk in the park. We rode over Independence Pass on Independence Day.

Well the time is here, the tour leaves on July 8, 2011. Are you wondering what's this tour all about. Then read the April 2011 newsletter, all of the details are there. Now it is a bit pricy, but your going to Canada. But if you want to go figure out a way and call let everyone know. Remember two weeks of fun with NorCal club members and your motorcycle.

The Campout is only four days away, are you ready. I am, Trisha and I can't wait, I want to thank all who RSVP even if you weren't able to come. It's going to be a fun time, Wayne Bright has a bunch of friends coming. Remember we will start dinner @ 4pm and eat by 5pm. Sundays breakfast ride is going to be great. We should leave Fort Washington By 8:30 am. Some time on Saturday we have to get Ice Cream.

I got an email from Diane Kamoto tell me it's going to be hot. Here in HMB it's only 60 degrees right now, so come on heat. Those that made the Wildflower can show off that cool shirt.

Here we go another accident by a club member. I got the call thursday about 8pm, from Deborah, Jerry's passenger. Deborah told me that she and Jerry were riding south on Hwy 99, between Lodi and Stockton. When the car in front of them did a sudden lane change. With the clear road ahead, Jerry saw the 4 x 4 laying in his lane. The 4 x 4 extended all the way across the lane. Leaving Jerry no where to go but over the 4 x 4. Voyagers arn't motocross bikes, Jerry and Deborah were thrown off the Voyager. Deborah got just a bit of road rash, bumps and bruises and was able to walk away. Jerrys wearing summer gloves (shorties) broke five ribs, and a collar bone. Jerry wore through the leather chaps he was wearing. Because of this Jerry has road rash.

The Voyager is home now, thanks to Deborah doing all the leg work. Jerry is in the Kaiser Hospital in South Sacramento. I spoke to Jerry yesterday and he feels no pain at the moment. Yep, Jerry has a pain button next to the bed.

Yesterday, there was a wonderful showing of love and affection for Ray Walls. About seventy people showed up at his service, the chapel was full. Afterward the Moose Lodge provided lunch. There were present and passed members of the NorCal Voyagers Club. It was nice to learn how much Ray cared for the NorCal Voyagers Club. Betty Walls was sad to lose her husband, but seemed relived that Ray wasn't suffering anymore. The California National Guard presented the colors to Betty. They presented a 21 gun salute and played Taps for Ray Walls.

The Founder and First President of the NorCal Voyagers Club.

NorCal Voyagers Club will be presenting Betty a Flag Case. Betty can display the Colors (flag).

About a month ago Ray sent me an email that his lungs, were giving out. Then during the Christmas Party weekend Bill Burns stopped by to visit Ray. Bill was telling me that Ray couldn't sleep. If Ray would sleep he would stop breathing. That Sat morning I tryed calling Ray to see if I could come by and visit. There was no answer, later I found out that Ray had gone to the hospital. For the next week and a half Ray was in and out of the hospital. Until the end December 22, 2010 at 4pm.

And the winners of the TWO UP Division are Holli & Kirk Ehnisz.

But for the solo division only two people have turned in there points sheet. Who are they Trisha and I, send me your points sheets you never know you could win. The NorCal Voyagers Club put up the money for the prizes, all you have to do is sent in the points sheets. I'll accept the points sheets if received by December 22, 2010. Only for the SOLO Division.

Then send the completed forms to the AVA for that prize Drawing. You do need a hundred points. But you can use the whole of 2010, were you in the car dosen't matter.

You didn't buy a passport. No problem I have 2 or 3 they cost $20.00 per person. I can get it to you and all you have to do is remember where you've been this last year, fill out the points sheet and sent it to the AVA.

Wondering,
Since the VN1700 seems to run so hot, is there any benefit in installing an oil cooler? Read somewhere that the cooling capacity of this beast is only a couple of quarts, I notice that in 90 plus degree weather in traffic, the temp gauge is between mid-and hot range. This won't help with the exaust heat, but may help with engine cooling in general. Any ideas? Comments?

Everyone, we had a wonderful time at the party, what a great bunch of people!
The gift that wife Gert selected (The "electronic counting bank-jar" ) is very clever... I spent most of the night poking coins into it to see how accurately it would detect the different coins. I got up to $38.00 with the pocketful of change I had, by poking in the change, then opening the jar and poking it in again. At 12 midnight, I still only had the original 38 cents in coin, so I quit and went to bed.

If anyone is interested in the gauges I was talking about, here is the web site: http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/Gauges.aspx.

Again, thanks to all, it was a great gathering, looking forward to the next one!

Those club members that have 2009 or 2010 Kawasaki Voyagers, you should receive a notice in the mail from Kawasaki notifying you of a factory recall notice for the ECU (Engine Control Unit)Received mine Monday, 11/1/2010 and have contacted the dealership requesting appointment to replace the unit. The issue is that the bike will sometimes stall when the clutch lever is pulled in, as when yo slow down.

What happened! Bill was in the middle of a turn on hwy 1. Up in Northern California. We were all in line with only 32 miles to the Motel in Ft Bragg. I was leading, Trisha, Bill and Roger, we had traveled 12 miles on Hwy 1. As I entered a right hand turn, about half way through the turn tighened up. This is where there was dirt, rocks or gravel on the road surface. When Bill's front tire got to this spot, it lost traction. Bill tried to regain control even as he was going off the road.

These are Mountain roads, when Bill left the road he dropped down about 25 ft and travel about 75 feet along the contour of the mountain side.

I heard the scrap of Bill's bike and though that he was just leaning way over. But when the sound lasted a lot longer then it should, and both Roger and Trisha were sounding there horns I knew someone had fallen. When I got back to where Bill had gone off the road there was a path down the side of the mountain. I stopped my bike and ran down the mountain following the trail that Bill had left. When I found the bike I didn't see Bill so I called out. Bill answered back very calm "I'm here". His left foot was trapped under the right side crash bar, I dug it free and asked Bill if he could move his arm and legs. Bill answered yes. I then asked him if anything felt broken, or warm "blood", Bill answered NO. I helped him stand up and we started up the side of the mountain. It was slow going, it was very steep, there were times when I would take a step and slide back to where I started.

After getting Bill up to the road and sitting Bill down, we tried calling for help. No cell service, I got Trisha to pull her Trike around and Roger and I loaded Bill on the back. Off Trisha and Bill went, Bill asked to Trisha to stop a couple of times. Trisha got Bill to the hospital in an hour from the time of going off the road.

Ft Braggs staff, was wonderful the way they cared for Bill. They kept us informed until Bill left to be Air Lifted to Santa Rosa.

For those that didn't go Ya missed a great time at the Western Regional Rally. The rides were great & the fellowship was great as well.
Woke up at 5:00am Friday morning to Frost & Ice on the tent and on Mariah, got things packed and left the rally site at 7:30am. Good thing I packed my jacket liners as the ride from Redmond to almost Klamath Falls was just a wee bit chilly. (Hit fog going thru La Pine) The ride home went without a hitch and 470 smiles later I got home 4:30 Friday afternoon.

Hope everyone else makes it home safe & sound from the rest of the tour...

Will we all are here in Redmond, tucked in at the Best Western. Today the ride was 250 miles of wonderful high Desert. There are 8 motorcycles of these 6 are Voyagers.

We started Sat in Jackson rode up the east side of Lake Tahoe. We ran into a lot of traffic and weather. We did have a great lunch in Tahoe City. But dinner in Quincey was the best.

Sunday we rode along the Feather River, with the best road. We then had brunch in Susanville, with a little set back with a dead battery. Later we rode to Lava Beds National Mont. We were able to tour a Lava Tube. The road to the National Mont was a story.

Thats about it, just all of us are having fun. All of the motorcycles are running great and no problems.

Tomorrow we will reg from 9 to 10am. Then we will be riding, yes just getting on our motorcycles and seeing what this part of the country has to offer.

Folks,
If you are plannning on attending the RAY WALLS CLASSIC TOUR & AVA WESTERN REGIONAL RALLY in August, Please get your WESTERN REGIONAL Rally registration in to the AVA ASAP. There have been a little over 20 registrations turned in as of saturday. To make this happen the AVA needs a good amount of pre regs in soon to give them a idea of what to plan for. An event like this take a lot of pre planning & preparation...

So lets show them we have enough support to possibly hold the 2012 AVA international Rally out here closer to home!!!! (Crater Lake, Lake Tahoe, ???)

We will be discussing the RAY WALLS CLASSIC Saturday at the meeting...

Subject: Alternative Helmet Speakers

Date Posted: 19:45:24 07/27/10 Tue

I noticed quite a few of the XII's have the rear speakers removed. I took mine off since I do not intend to ride while using the speakers (personally against any more 'sound' coming from any type of motorcycle). We have come from riding two up on another bike that did not have an intercom. We found the Scala TeamSet Blue-Tooth to work great for us. My rider gets the 'driver' device and I get the 'passenger' device. As the 'driver', my wife can synch with the blue-tooth function on her cell phone.

I on the other hand, just sold my 82 GL500I which had radio and CB - my helmet was set up with both the J&M headset and mike set along with the Blue-Tooth intercom. My helmet has a nice place to recess the large J&M speakers. My wife did not want to have another mic put into her helmet, so I cut off the mic. on an extra set of J& M system. Her helmet does not have a nice pocket for speakers and after one trip I had to take out the speakers. She did like hearing the CB and radio. She can communicate on the cell phone, I can communicate on the CB - we talk to each other over the Blue-Tooth intercom. She wanted to hear the radio and CB - I can't fault her for that - So....now what to do?

I did find a set of THIN helmet speakers - http://helmetspeakers.741.com/ for $17.95 including shipping (from Modesto) - they have the 3.5 mm stereo jack. Not going to work with the 5 pin Voyager system we have. I did try and splice the wires on the thin helmets to the 5-pin - no luck. The J&M was a co-axial (could have done it by stripping the outer coating and soldering) - but the THIN helmet set had such fine wire, I could not even take a tweezers and remove what seemed like Mylar insulation from the two wires. So, then I went internet hunting again - and found this site. http://plugup.com/cart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=7&zenid=cffc6c04a1ed74834aaf387a4cfb16d0

They do have adapters for either just the helmet speakers or helmet and mic. - converting from 5 pin to the 3.5 mm stereo. The helmet-only 5 pin runs $24.95 plus about $6 to 7 dollars for shipping. So for about $50.00 you can have a thin set of helmet speakers in a riders helmet. WORKED FOR ME!!! I am not receiving any compensation for providing these links.

Were Home

We left Wichita KS with full tanks and headed east on US 54 and as we left Wichita we got a strong cross and head wind. Mileage on the Voyager went down to 30 mpg, that big engine on the Goldwing was able to push the air and only dropped a bit. We got to Dodge City with the wind still blowing and I had used 5.5 gal of gas in 160 miles. We got to Garden City Ks, the wind has died down and the temp rose. Had an expresso and lunch. Got to Lamar CO and temp is 98 we travel north to I 70 and in Limon CO we see rain clouds, we fuel and I ask Trisha should we wait the rain out. She gives me a big NO. There was no wind but rained hard temp dropped to 60, there was heavy rain for 30 miles. As soon as it stopped it got warm mid 80s. Got to see my Mom and eat a great meal she served up.

Next Morning we left late you know still talking to mom. We rode up Clear Creek Canyon. We rode through 10 tunnels this day. Grand Junction temp 98 and it stayed this way until we got to Salt Lake City UT. I overheated myself and paid the price. These last two days were both over 500 mile days;

Sat up earily We have dicided that if we get to Reno mid afternoon, and we feel ok we will ride in to Half Moon Bay a 757 mile day. We are on the road by 7:15 and in wendover NV by 9am mid 80s. We gain an hour, we get to Elko NV by 10 am 100 degrees. The temp goes as high as 102 by the time we get to Reno. We fuel and head to HMB, we stop in Truckee to eat. Drinking lots of Gatorade and Water all day keeps us feeling good. When we got to the Bay we stop and put on our heated gear as the temp is now 60, by the time we got to Half Moon Bay the temp had dropped all the way to 57 degrees, the time was 10:02 pm and we had traveled 8,150 miles.

No oil leaks and no oil used by either motorcycle.
Three small problems 1. fuse on Goldwing was a 5 amp and needed a 10 amp for headed clothing 2. burned out head light Goldwing 3. power cord for the cooler after 5 yrs of use it broke, I was able to repair at my moms.

We tried to use Shell or Chevron 89 octaine, in Colo with the long climbs I used 91 and did so all the way home. When the temps was in the 100s the temp on the Voyager was between the 3rd and 4th above the thick white line. This was with the speedo reading 67 mph, would cool down to the 3rd line if I slowed to 65 mph. This was while pulling a 450 lbs of trailer.

My Voyager now has 142,880 miles
Trisha's Trike has 55,032 miles

Ok, we've been riding and riding. Day 3 was a long day and then when we got into Canada couldn't use phone or laptop because of cost. We had a great time with Duane and his buddy Rex. They have made fun of Trisha and I about washing the bikes every night. The last day in Canada it rain and rain, when we got to the AVA campground it was raining.

The Rally was great missed you Tony, John D, Michelle S, Bill and Fritz. Before we knew it everyone was gone last friday. Trishas brother Bob drove up from NC and rode on the back of the Trike all week.

We had rain all the way to NC and on Monday it rained until we reached Ashville NC. Trisha wanted to do the Dragon or Deals Gap. Great fun I got a new t-shirt.

On Tue I stopped by Carl Leo's and picked up some parts. Carl sent us home with some home grown apples. Then it was on to Graceland. We rode into Mississippi and got some more points for another state in the SEE THE USA WITH THE AVA.

Today we started in Jonesboro AK and then to Springfield MO Trisha needed a new front tire. She found a Trike dealer in Springfield MO. Had her on the road in one hour, then to Oklahoma for some more points.

Tonight we are in Wichita KS.

We have had to change our route home. Two weeks ago my Stepfather died. On this past sunday my exmother in law died. So I am stopping in Denver to vist with my mother, and pay a visit to my exwife.

For those who will be attending the Redmond Rally in Oregon, the official hotel is the Best Western Ramada Inn which has quoted a price of $104 per night.

Some of us are going to stay at the Redmond Inn, the quoted price is $55 per night plus tax. They are about a mile away from the Best Western.

Again started the day early; on the road by 6 am mst, temp was a cool 50 deg. stayed that way for the first 150 miles. Trisha blew a fuse on her Gold Wing for the electric vest and gloves. We stopped and repaired, we got to West Yellowstone where we met Duane Ash and his friend Rex. Best part of Yellowsstone was leaving, by way of Beartooth pass. Trisha did a stellar job of riding over the pass. We are in Billings MT tonight and tomorrow we ride to Fargo ND 610 miles. So far 1220 miles in two days. Good thing Trisha loves me, both motorcycles are doing great no problems.

Trisha and I are here in Twin Falls ID We left Half Moon Bay at 5am and got checked in to the Monterey Motel at 8pm. After cleaning the bikes unloading and the covering them we were off to Dairy Queen. It was a 700 mile day both Motorcycles ran great, we avaraged about 39mpg. Pulling the Trailer I use 89 octane and 1/2 oz of Amsoil gas treatment. Voyager has more power but same gas mileage.

Ok it is one week away from the Camp Out at Veteran Memorial Park. I plan on getting there by 10 to 10:30 am on Friday the 25th.

How to get to the park
Get on to Del Monte Ave and head for the Wharf. About the time you get to the Fishermans Wharf you go stright and stay on Del Monte Ave, it will be a left lane you should be in. If you go through the tunnel you missed the turn. After the traffic light go two blocks to Pacfic St left turn here. Now travel two blocks to Jefferson St make a right turn here, you'll be going up the hill. When Jefferson St comes to an end and it looks like someones drive way don't worry. This is Veterans Dr it will wind itself up to the top of the hill. When you get to the top you will make a right turn into the camp ground.

If you go into the tunnel don't worry just follow the road until you can make a safe U turn and when coming back just exit at the Pacific St turn off.

Hope to see a lot of people there, not much is planned just sitting around and some site seeing. Trisha wants to go to the buy some new gloves at the dealership and I want to go out to Laguna Seca Racetrack to get some goodies. Other then that just have fun.

I bought a 2002 Voyager XII just a couple of months ago.
It's a one owner, only 21,000 miles, rides and drives like new, everything works....Now the problem....When I am riding down the highway at 70 MPH the transmission is just whining and steady whine. If I speed or slow down it does the same....If I pull the clutch in and just coast it's a nice smooth quite ride...No tire noise, no shaft, or rear end noise....The minute I let the clutch out the whine starts again.....Any fixes for this? I really like this bike, but this is very disappointing to me.... I owned a very nice goldwing before and rode all over California and then 8 years all over Europe....

Since my last helmet was purchased in 2002 when I last bought a new Motorcycle, I decided to do a little research on Motorcycle helmets. I wanted to know the difference between a $700.00 helmet, and a $79.95 helmet. BTW, just what is the attraction with the fully enclosed helmets? I can't stand them. At best, a "3/4" helmet is to my liking ....

Anyway, please see the story at the attached URL below, it sure surprised me!

Hello all;
Hank here, a new Kawasaki (New 2009) Voyager (Blue)owner here, and just recently retired. Looking for Club to ride/camp with, and discovered this site. Previous Honda VT1100 owner (It's for sale now) moved up to tourer so wife and I can do a little touring. I think the bike is too new for the May 14-16 trip, (it only has 14 miles on it, but I did baptise it properly by riding it home from PCP motors last monday in the monsoons)but we are interested in any future road trips. Started riding at 16 yrs old in So. Cal, Triumph Tiger Cub, then various other British bikes, one Harley, then I finally wised up and in 1969 got a new 1969 Honda CB750, one of the first! and probably one of the best bikes I ever owned. Wife and I are retired now (well, as retired as any one can be in these times) so we are looking for trips of 3-7 days or more...maybe Big Sur, and points south. I am also a licensed Amateur Radio Operator, KG6RZC, and plan on installing my Yaesu FT-857D HF rig on the bike.
Great looking site, will snoop around a little more, to look-see at the technical things.
So, we are looking forward to membership, and lots of good times and trips with other members.

Good Morning NCVC From the Sunny Sierra Foothills...

48/69 Clear Skies....

Yep the weather is good, Springs here but riding is curtailed for a few days....

Tuesday evening Gail & I went for a ride to get pool & spa supplies. Had a nice ride to the place but when we were pulling out of the parking spot Gravity took over & down we went on the right side... We were barely moving (part of the problem) and the area was a little off level. we went down s l o w... I tried to catch it with my right leg but in the process ended up hyperextending my foot. Gail tried to move off but the armrest was in the way & her right foot got pinned to the bike when the marvellas footpeg folded up on it. This all happened so quick...But in S L O W motion.. wierd...

No sooner than we were on the ground a couple of folks came over to help, one had already called 911 & the other was helping me get Mariah up. the lady still had the dispatcher on the line and Gail told them all was ok & we didn't need the little white van with the red lights, but they showed up in less than a minute anyway. We told them things were ok and sent them on.. Another guy shows up with a bag of ice for Gails ankle...Nice folks...
We rode back home and looked over our ankles, Gail's had a good goose egg & imprint of the peg with a good bruise showing, my ankle was sore and a little swollen but otherwise ok, I thought... That was till I woke up the next morning for work... Big bruise on both sides. I could still get boots on so I hobbled off to work... Today I go to the sawbones to check things out. hopefully all thats wrong with mine is a severe sprain...
Gail's getting around much better. Good thing we had good boots and gear on...

Sorry for the long post... just thought I'd let everyone in on my little Opps...

Gotta get better, Sierras to the Sea is a week from Friday..... and I still need to look at the Clutch...

Ya'll have a GREAT DAY......

Good Mornin NCVC,

Well I do believe that spring is here. Forcast is for same Blue skies & warmer temps for the next two weeks... Finally!!!!

Got yard cleanup to do from the last bit of old man winter's final gasp. What a diff a couple days make, last Wedensday we had over an 1.5" of pea sized hail and a little over 1" of rain & the high for the day was 39...

Gotta take another look at the clutch again...(Reason for not making the Wildflower escort) Its still slipping. Changing the fluid did help some, but not enough.. I'll have to take it apart to check the star springs again. This time I'll replace the nut (no not me, the basket nut!) I reused the same one when I replaced the star springs before Santa Fe last year...gotta get it fixed right, less than two weeks till Sierra to the Sea ride...

Well hope everyone gets home safe from the Wildflower support ride.

Time to get at it...

Ya'll have a GREAT DAY......

We are having our quarterly lunch in Silver City tomorrow. Looks like a good day for a ride. A bit cool, but still nice. Have good roads to ride on the way plus some boring straight roads.
Guess our wind was from your front a couple days ago making it thru to here.
Yall have a grat day.

Yesterdays Tech Day, was a great success! We got my bike all taken apart, thanks to the tutoring of our president, Don and the help of John. Ron was laughing in the back ground as he worked on his bike. Don, I forgive you for bringing those Snap-On tools with you. We found bad U-joints and a bad swing-arm bearing. We also disassembled the forks and it is now ready for the installation of the Race Tech emulators.

A future member, Kirk and his wife Holli, also came by to meet and greet us. Kick some tires, and of course compare stories.

So great success, I hope we do this a couple of times a year

Hey, Guys;
I'm planning on a trip out your way in late May/early June of this year. I need to meet a friend in Fresno on business, and I thought it would be fun to go through Yosemite NP on my way up north (to TC's place). I've been perusing thier website a bit and am concerned...Will the road through the park even be open by the end of May? How much snow have the mountains recieved this year? Anyone with advice or 'words of wisdom' would be appreciated!

This coming Sat at 10am whom ever wants to join a small group of NorCal Voyagers, and whoever, we will meet at Jerry Zemmerman's house. If you need the address to Jerrys house email me and I will get you his address.

Jerry has Race Tech fork springs and Gold Valve Kit to install. He wants to check his U-joint and pack the swing arm bearings. So if you have a job you wish to perform come on over. This is a guy day in a man cave. If you just wish to hang around and do some tire kicking that is alright show up in the car, lets just have a good time and get your Voyager or whatever ready for the coming riding season.

Jerry did tell me that he has no heat in the garage. There is enough room for four motorcycles in the garage.
