Very modern and a nice Mexican resturant next door called Casa Ramos. For real fun get a room at the Cary House on Main Street, right in downtown Placerville. It's a kick; right out of the gold rush. Re-enactments of old west gun fights on the weekends and LOTS of window shopping as you walk up and down the old town. Do not go to the places on the East end of town.
