AND - it rained ALL night - along with two bouts of thunder. The front moved thru and we were able to depart at 8:30 AM (instead of planned 8:00 AM). 4 lane road and the slow lane heading north had two dry stripes where the tires had dried up the road.

All the way into and thru Calgary with only a few trucks kicking up spray onto the windshield.

Arrived in Banff (after having to slow WAY down for an ELK with huge rack that had gotten onto the side median and could not find a way back off the side of the road. Found out you can have a group rate for 2 to 7 people if NOT in the same car - but as motorcycles travel together at all times. No Ride day tomorrow and no report planned - we are booked for a tour so the guys at the front of the bikes can get some of the scenery burned into our memory!

Thursday we head to Jasper - and the weather will bear watching on when and if the Frogg Toggs come out again. (it was modified Frogg Toggs today - Holli had on the top part, Kirk had on the bottom part - yes, we have TWO pair!)
