Ok, I would like to know what a true track owner would do when they owned the track. Would a true track owner spend the extra money EVERY weekend for an ambulance service, try to provide a safe environment for the races and spectators with new guardrails, employee friendly people, listen to all the complaints and try to do EVERYTHING that EVERYONE asked of them, spend 5-7 days out of the week at the track working on improvements, put their family second to the track, miss out on their grandchildren growing up, put others finaces first by only having regular races once or twice a month because fuel is so high? If I am not mistaken that is what the track owner is doing now. He neglects his own personal life and steps into the lives of all the racers and fans and puts himself in their pocket books, their safety, and looks out for them. He is not in this to make money or benefit from others, he is here to make a fun place to go to. Do you ever stop and think that every day the track is open there is the cost of EACH lane for insurance, and OUTRAGEOUS electric bill, the cost of workers, the ambulance cost by the hour, the nice purse for the winners that is paid out even when there are no spectators there to offset the payout because the chance of rain kept them from coming and the price of fuel. If you know of someone that can and will run this track better then give the owners a call because they would be happy to sale this place and start growing their butt back that gets chewed off every weekend the gates are opened. Everyone now is on a tighter budget and making the monthly racing more diversified helps the racers from having to fork out several hundred dollars EVERY weekend for something they love to do. If Larry were a selfish man and not thinking about the livelyhood of the racers then he would have a bracket race every weekend and drain the pocket books of most of the racers instead of thinking of them and trying to keep more money in their family's pocket. If anyone wants to be a true track owner then just take a week and hang out at the track and see what all goes on and make all the final decisions and then let us all know how easy it is to run the track.
